SocialEngine “Upload failed Server returned HTTP-Status #302”

Updated on Aug 6, 2021

This message could occur when you try to install or upgrade plugins. The error message is caused due to the limitations in the php.ini file of the application. In order to get over those limitations, you should upload the .tar archive at:

/home/user/public_html/temporary/package/archives/

After that, you should change the permissions to 777. The archive could be uploaded via the cPanel or via FTP. Once all of the changes are performed access the admin area of the application -> Plugin Manager and proceed with the installation of the plugin.

If you are still not sure how to those changes, feel free to submit a ticket via your Client Area with us. If you are still not our client, you can check our SocialEngine Hosting packages so you can enjoy the speed, security and technical support services it offers.
