Q: Hi Ivan, it’s great to have you with us. Can you introduce yourself and tell us how you joined the FastComet team?

Hello there! My name is Ivan, and I’m delighted to be a part of the FastComet team. Before joining this exceptional company, I studied English Philology at the University of Plovdiv, intending to become a teacher someday. Despite enjoying the academic world, I felt the need to broaden my horizons and experience more of what life has to offer. This desire led me to participate in the “Summer Work and Travel USA” program, which exposed me to new cultures and ways of life and ignited my passion for traveling.

Ivan's FastComet Tale: From University to the World of Web Hosting

After exploring the United States, I ventured to Morocco, where I had the chance to immerse myself in the local culture and meet many fascinating people. It might not look like it, but after the long flight, this is how I looked on the first day of my journey:

Ivan's FastComet Tale: From University to the World of Web Hosting

This amazing journey motivated me to seek a career that allows me to communicate with people worldwide. That’s when I discovered FastComet while seeking a way to step out of my comfort zone and explore the exciting world of web hosting. I had no idea that it would lead me to an incredible team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their work and devoted to providing exceptional service to our clients.

That’s fantastic! What do you do at FastComet?

Well, my official title is Customer Success Representative, but I think of myself as a superhero for our clients! 😉 As part of the Sales team, I help clients find the perfect web hosting solution for their needs. It’s like a matchmaking service but for websites! Whether it’s a startup or an established business, we make sure our clients get the best hosting plan to help them reach their goals.

Sounds interesting! What’s your favorite part of the workday, and what has been the most exciting part of your journey so far?

The most exciting part is when a client’s website goes live and sees their excitement and satisfaction. It’s like the feeling you get when you finish a challenging level in a game – but this time, it’s real life! It’s rewarding to know that I played a small part in helping our clients achieve their goals. However, what I enjoy the most during my working day is reviewing our “Observer Monitoring System” and investigating any issues that might be causing problems to our user’s projects even before they know they might have such. We even have a blog series dedicated to good practices to ensure you achieve the best possible performance for your project based on our experience with other users’ projects. It can be challenging, not going to lie, but I love problem-solving. That’s why our team is more like a Customer Success team than a standard boring sales team.

Speaking of challenges, what have been your biggest challenges so far?

As a Customer Success rep, I’m no stranger to challenges. Whether mastering the latest product features or keeping up with the latest industry trends, I’m always up for a good challenge. But one of my biggest daily challenges is juggling multiple tasks and priorities. You see, as a Customer Sucess, I wear many hats. I’m a problem solver, a product expert, a negotiator, and a relationship builder, and all rolled into one. But hey, I love a good juggling act, and it keeps me on my toes. Plus, seeing our customers happy and satisfied with our service is incredibly rewarding.

What’s on your bucket list?

I love traveling, so there are about 20 places around the world that I would love to visit. One of the most epic things I’ve crossed out on my bucket list was riding a camel in the Sahara desert

and seeing the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, IL. As I said, I have already been fortunate enough to visit some fantastic places worldwide, but there are still many more I would love to explore. I dream of visiting New Zealand, Japan, South Africa, Peru, and Iceland. I love immersing myself in different cultures and experiencing all that each place offers. From sampling local cuisine to exploring historical sites and museums, travel is one of the best ways to broaden my perspective and learn new things.

In addition to travel, there are other items on my bucket list. For example, I have always been a fan of art and would love to visit some of the world’s most famous museums and galleries. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. So I would love to take on some challenging treks in the future.

Ultimately, my bucket list constantly evolves and grows as I learn more about the world around me. Life is about exploring new things and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. I embrace that philosophy as much as possible.

Lastly, what’s the one condiment you could never live without, and what advice would you give to FastComet users?

That’s easy. My advice to our users would be to stay curious and hungry and never stop learning. The web industry constantly evolves, and there’s always something new to learn. Whether it’s the latest technologies, recent trends, or new challenges, embrace the learning process and keep pushing yourself to grow. And remember to have fun along the way! What’s difficult is to decide. I must choose between Paprika, cinnamon, or freeze-dried garlic. If you’re not allergic to flavor, I recommend trying at least one of each.

Conclusion:

Here’s to a long, fulfilling, and joyous journey at FastComet, Ivan🥂. We hope you enjoyed getting to know Ivan, one of our superheroes that helps you find the perfect web solution for your website project. And let’s remember his condiment dilemma – Paprika, cinnamon, or freeze-dried garlic. Holly cinnamone! I didn’t even know that this could be a dilemma for someone.

As always, we encourage our FastComet users to stay curious, hungry, and never stop learning! And who knows, you’ll be the star of our Employee Spotlight series one day! Until then, stay tuned for more fascinating stories and inspiring team members.
