How to Remove Default Footer in Drupal

The "Powered by Drupal" footer is configured as a block on the default Drupal installation. You need to log in with administrative user on your website and navigate to Structure -> Blocks. Review the list of available blocks on your website and you will be able to locate the one in question in the Footer section. Click on the drop-down button next to it and select None to remove it from your website.
