How to Set up a Cron Job

Updated on Jun 11, 2019

A cron job can be set via cPanel -> “Cron Jobs” icon in the “Advanced” section. You should set the Minute, Hour, Day, Month, Weekday and Command. You can choose from already generated templates available in the drop-down menu named “Common Settings”.

Note that in order a cron job to work you need to fill all of the fields.

The “Command” field leads to the path of the cron job. If the cron job is on your server you should point the whole path to it e.g:

/home/user/public_html/cron.php

If the cron job is not on our server you can provide URL address. When you configure all of the fields, press the “Add New Cron Job” button to successfully add the cron job.
