How to Reduce Magento Database Size

Updated on Jun 11, 2019

If your Magento database is growing bigger and bigger, this is most probably because of the log tables which can get quite big if you don't flush them regularly. You can flush the log tables via the Admin Panel. Just log in to your Magento Admin Panel, go to System -> Configuration, on the left under Advanced click on System (Advanced - > System). Under System, you will see "Log Cleaning" option, fill the desired values and click Save.

On the other hand, you can set a cron to regularly clean your log tables or set up a script to automate this by following our tutorial on how to optimize your Magento database.
