How to Configure the Mail Service of Your Domain with a Google Apps Account

If you are using Google Apps account and you would prefer to use Google mail services you will need to perform the following steps:

  • Login to your cPanel
  • Access “MX Entry” icon from the “Mail” section
  • Choose for which domain you would like to manage the mailbox via Google Apps
  • Delete all current records
  • Add these records:

Priority: 1
Destination: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Priority: 5
Destination: ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Priority: 5
Destination: ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Priority: 10
Destination: ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Priority: 10
Destination: ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

 

The last thing to do is to change the Email Routing to Remote Mail Exchanger. With the new configuration, the Google Apps mail is set properly.
